I was curious as to whether anyone has used the Rainforest systems by General Hydroponics and if so, would you suggest it? I'm a noob at hydro but I'm willing to learn. Until I found this system, I was going to use a general hydroponics water farm but I can spend the same money and get two of the rainforest systems and have a more compact and efficient growing area. If anyone has any input for me I would really appreciate it.
As far as lighting goes, I will be using 2 454w t5 fixtures (6550k bulbs) with supplement cfl lighting (5000k) for vegetative. For flowering, I will be using 2 400w hps, in conjuction with 3 or 4 28w(red and blue spectrum) led boards for side-lighting. the reason for mixture in lighting is because I have been doing some research with the schoool I go to and we are finding that there are more parts of the light spectrum that plants use for reasons we have yet to discover. I would like to do some personal experimentation.
I know that the farm system would be able to be moved into any chape I desire but as I have been reading posts, I have been leaning more to the dwc than ebb 'n flow. I also like how easily the pot sizes can be changed on the rainforest system.
ANY feedback will be welcomed. I'm very excited to learn some new things.
