Gavita EL1F controller, compatible fans

So I bought this controller mostly for the auto dim and shut off if temps get too high. Like if AC quits working. But it controls fans also. It says it needs EC fans to work or they have a module that will work with the other fans. I dunno what they mean by EC fans I’ve never seen a fan with a telephone jack on it which is what it would need to hook to unit. The module to control the older fans doesn’t seem to be sold anywhere in the us and I’m wondering if that’s cause it’s made for European fans which would prob be a different voltage.

Anyways was wondering if any of you guys knew what fans it would work with?

Just wire your outputs to a relay. that’s what I did, cheaper then using their output modules.
Ps: it isn’t model specific , it’s an open contact switch that u wire in not plug n play so cut off the plug and wire it to a relay. any fan will work.

ec on fans means it’s controlled by its own speed controller, it doesn’t mean it comes with a communication module to be controlled from a central controller.
when it is plugged in or on it runs at the speed it’s set to.

I’m confused on what you mean about wiring the outputs to a relay. The only output from my controller that is to hook up to a fan is a telephone jack looking cord.

I also purchased this controller and Gavita put the horse before the cart on this feature. There is no EC fans that are compatible with the controller at the current time. Was told Gavita plans to make a fan for it but who really knows....
