good news and bad news. bad news is i thought i killed off these bugs that were on my gsc6, but i just found a few on my mendodawg. motherfucker! good news is im getting lots of amber fucking quick, along with few purple trichs! gorgeious! right now its like 30/40 clear, 15/20 amber, maybe 40 milk. if the buds were fatter id chop but i want a lil more yeild out of this bitch lol fucking bugs! im thinking aphids...

narrowed bugs down to either thrips or the dreaded russet mite. these bugs leave lil shits and the russet mites dont, do they?

edot: def thrips! silver patches give that away right

edit:ill be using beneficial fungi beauveria bassiana, works on other bugs too. looking to order some asap!

At first i thought the plant was turning violet in color, but under a light shes nice n green. The triches are violet! Fucking badass plant! Stinks of champagne still...

Just got a pic under the scope...

Just read through the thread - looking forward to the chop and smoke reports. Much hate to plant bugs! The last pics didn't look there had been one problem at all - very healthy looking. Props to your skills.

Do you think bugs are more a problem in soil grows? In years of DWC, the one mite battle was becuase of a Jilly Bean clone that had been brought in from outside...never even occurred that there might be bugs on it. Experience is a painful teacher, but a great lesson learned.

Thanks for stopping thru and thanks for the kind words! The bug damage is minimal and the trhips were larva stage. I caught them before they progressed which was key. Im constantly checking nooks and crannies for herms and deficiencies. Helps catch bugs! Im sure i brought these in as i raided the neighbors garden for these tomato stakes and forgot sterilize them!!! Dohhhhhhhhh, i never do that! But i would assume bugs prefer soil grows to hydro but im not sure, iv seen a few grows that had root munchers. I would say when you change from soil to soilless you get a host of dif probs like algae rootrot etc. Which means prevention or catching problems early on is extremely key. Even a deficiency can make a plant weak enough that bugs would attack it when otherwise healthy bugs wouldnt think twice.
