G8 LED any good?

I have been doing a lot of research on different types of LEDs and came across G8 I looked at the specs of their lights and they seemed pretty good however being as new as I am I still have a lot to learn so with that being said I was wondering if someone has personally used this brand or using this brand currently and if so how do they preform?

If your doing research you should stay in this section and if you did research on the site then you'd know nobody will vouch for that light. If your serious please just check out anyone of the popular threads in the led section

I'm by no means an expert, but I looked them up and the first thing I saw when I clicked on one of the lights was "This 450W grow light has the growing power of 800 watts of a HID (HPS or MH) system" I'm an LED guy and I will be the first to tell you that this is bullshit. Stay away.
There are other LED'S on the market that you'd be more satisfied with (I use Area 51). Your best bet for LED is to go the DIY route, if that is an option for you. You can build a killer light and save yourself a bunch of scratch in the process. If I had it to do over again, I'd go DIY (and I love my lights).

G8 are far from great. They use outdated technology and charge too much for it. There are much better options in the same price range, especially COB's.
