So I'm brand new to all of this and have a ton of question. I was reading up on the Hempy method and that seems like a relatively easy way to start off. But how seeds and lighting and temperature. Help a brother out please.

OK I'll help. Buy a bag of Fox Farms soil and some containers. Buy the lights and grow some plants. After you actually learn about the plant from growing some then branch out into hempy or hydro.

To start out you'll need a seed, a growing medium and a minimum of 80 watts of daylight tubes or CFL. I'd just leave the light on all the time until you decide what you're gonna do. You might want to study things like cloning and what is required to bud a plant etc. You'll find out why buddy plugged his light fixture only to find the timer melted and how to cheaply get around all these things that can wreak major havok. Flat white non-flammable reflective screen works best to reflect lighting back towards plants. I have read that white non-flammable emergency blankets from Walmart have been used which are apparenty inexpensive. If the light source is generating a heat problem in the grow space you'll need to find ways that suite your situation to reduce the temperture to a relative 80F. IMO a 1kw hps needs 6'x6'x8'h.

Herbies is reliable to buy seeds from. Try a incredible bulk, kosher kush, AK48..etc

Smart pots are legit, get some fox farm ocean forest and bag of perlite. I suggest going organic but might be to too much when just beginning. Its real simple though..

You can use cfl lights but theyre not AS legit. I hear the 42 Watt ones are the best. If you can afford it there are these lights called T5 HO (High Output?)

Thank you guys I appreciate the suggestions and knowledge. I guess my first step is to get some seeds. I guess I'm looking for the easiest, cheapest, most forgiving for a first time indoor grow

The area I'm intending on using is going to be a stealth cab about 3x2x5' high
