full power 600 watt or 75% 450 watt

Alright so I have a 4'x4'x7' tent with a radiant 6 hood, I pull through a carbon scrubber through my hood then push the air into a large crawl space. fan is 430 cfm. I'm running my first ever scrog(2nd grow) and recently changed from a 1000 watt magnetic to 600 watt digital dim able to combat higher temps. Welllll to my dismay heat is still a little problem. So what would be better for me? When I run my light at 100%(600 watts) around 24 inches from my screen the temp at the screen gets into low 80's tops about 83 but I can dim the ballast to 75%(450 watts) and lower the light to 19 inches and temps wont go over 77. Do you think the lower temps would benefit me more or should I bump my light up? The plants seem to enjoy either at the moment they are in there 2nd week of veg starting to poke through the screen. but, I have seen a few leaves curling up a tiny bit so Im thinking I was getting a little heat stress when I was using 600, the whole reason I decided to turn to 450.

Maybe do what I do, and have your carbon filter and your hood on separate lines... I have that same tent and I am able to use a 1000w HPS, and the hood is cool to the touch. Never over 77 in there. I think the extra light is very beneficial if you can get the temps down. I feel like 450w is just a bit too low for that size of tent.

I attached a pic of my flower tent just so you could see what I am talking about. I have the carbon filter hanging up top and exhausting out of the top on its own line. Then the hood gets its own intake and exhaust as well so there is really good air flow. Obviously this takes 2 fans instead of one, but the extra bit of money is worth it.

Thank you for the input, that might have to be my next upgrade on a future grow, I upgraded to the new tent vs. my old pinned up mylar diy tent and the new ballast set me back a bit. I might have to wait until next grow. I live in CO so I'm getting ready to say F the carbon scrubber yet again I'm pretty sure the neighbors will not be a fans of my holy grail kush cause they already stink and I haven't even flowered them. Not like its a huge issue but regardless of legality I prefer to keep my hobbies to myself

I also might just use the 450 until flower then bump it up to 600. If I run my light at night the house is a lot colder and might hold the temps below 80 for 12 hours
