I believe in my state once you get past $500 it's a level 5 felony, once you get past $2000 level 4 felony, 10k - 50k is a level 3 which could get you 6 - 20 years in prison.

A black woman in Akron was sentenced to five years in prison for signing her kid up under her father's address to get that kid into a suburban school.

But poooor Felicity...

She'll be forced to serve up to 85% of her 14 day sentence and she will do it in a cushy, country club prison.

Maybe she'll get a pardon.

I hereby summon @scumrot derelict

What about Lori Laughlin?
That's a good point.

If Huffman gets 14 days in jail, a 30,000 dollar fine, 250 hours community service and a year of supervised probation for pleading guilty to a 15,000 dollar fraud and throwing herself on the mercy of the court (read as buying the judge a new 7 series BMW at a future date), then it's going to be very interesting indeed to see what Laughlin gets for pleading innocent to a half million fucking dollar, multiple person fraud, costing the tax payers millions of dollars in trial costs and stretching this shit out for years.

in Broward County, Florida using a false address to send your kid to another school:

Lying about a home address to get into a different school is against school board policy. Because parents declare their addresses under penalty of perjury, doing so can also be prosecuted as a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years behind bars.

she's a tobacco smoker..see those vertical lines around her mouth?

how often do you get smoke breaks in lock-up?

that's the real punishment- she can't smoke when she wishes.

good news though..cigarettes are like money in jail.
