Well in the last six months I have ordered seeds from the seed boutique 3 times. I always have no issues with this until today. Some lady from my bank calls and says she calling to make sure there is no fraudulent activity going on with my account because there have been several authorizations overseas with SBN Epsom and did I authorize them. I say yes, explain no detail and hang up.

Now normally I wouldn't give a shit because I used to live in a bigger city and bank workers wouldn't care because they are too busy, unless of course it was a huge amount or whatever. Now I live in a little town with around 10K people and everyone knows everyone. I'm concerned because this lady could easily Google "SBN Epsom" and know right away what I was ordering or assume anyway. I'm sure if she did this she would contact the police and tip them off. I know I broke the rule of ordering to my house/grow address, but it was my only option. I have one plant going now and it's just being used to clone off of till I can get them outside. She has 14 or so clones ready to be rooted, but I want to wait till she can supply around 30 or so.

What should I do? Scrap everything and lay low for a while? I was thinking about cutting the clones and starting them, if they came to bust me I could easily flush them rather than my huge 2' mother.

i really wouldnt sweat it, thats a standard procedure alot of credit card companies and what not do to protect their customers, they were just making sure that since they dont normally see an overseas transaction on your card, that it was you using it, not someone else.

I say don't worry either.... They probably charged the card at the same time u used it to buy something at home, and they wondered how you were in two places at once then checked and noticed that u don't have a history of making overseas purchases.... They didn't look into what yu were buying.. They would have called if it were a pair of shoes...

You broke every rule to ordering seeds you should be worried. You ordered them to your own address you live ta and to make it worst grow at. You used your own actual card to order which is another big non no. You did it several times overseas which alerts banks and government watch dogs as oversea transfers can be looked t under the patriot act as possible terristic activity which makes following the money legal. You also bought from nirvana which has been getting popped every other order the last 2 years so they have had some bad success and they are now high on the watch list.I thought you knew better

I know of somebody who actually had the credit card company go after a seed company for failure to deliver and got their money back 3 months later after tons of calls and they grew and had no problems at all... They even asked what the purchase was and they said seeds... didn't specify what kind, but they didn't care... so I don't believe the watchdog theory so much, but I am also in Canada....

Yeah I know Fletch, I got comfortable to say the least. It won't be my last seed order, but next time I will defiantly use a prepaid card and ship to another addy. I didn't use Nirvana per say, but used the seed boutique which is located in the UK and had no problems thus far. Hopefully nothing comes of this and lesson learned, but if not I'm prepared as best as I can be.

lol and now you know not to be comfortable. I always say that you need to stay right on the edge of paranoid to be safe.Dont over trip but be just about ready to panic at all times. Some missed the point on using your own credit card. Its not that the card company cares but you leave a nice trail for customs to follw and then later a perfect trail for an indictment to show you illeaglly imported contraband to the US and then it makes it a federal offense since credit and debit cards are backed by the FDIC so you basically add 35 more years to your cases if they decide to go that route and it makes it easy for them to obtain a warrant for where the seeds get delivered so if its grow address or an address drugs may be in you screwed yourself. The worry isnt the credit card lady but the bigger picture..Come on guys think a little bit now lol

you shouldnt really be sweating it beacause in the fisrt place you gave them no reason to investigate your purchases.

Except its all over seas purchases that are not the everyday purchase which if your not in the US a little thing called the patriot act requires notification of out of the ordinary overseas money transaction. Sucks yup but it helps and it hurts cuz it keeps us safe but is such a blanket law

Exactly...lesson learned. It is a damn shame that a few seeds can lead to this shit though. Come on cannabis legalization!
