yeeeahhh

I knew at some point it would happen.... Was trying to flush the old ebb and grow system, left the water hose on for 2 hours in the basement and now I've got 6" of water in the basement!! I have the girls lifted up about 8" off the ground luckily, but I'm thinking there will be some residual water/mold issues if I don't get it all out and dry right away right?!!? I'm like days from harvest

Days from harvest man you're ok, would take mold a while to take hold. Drain the water out and pop a dehumidifier in there you'll be fine.

well I already had a dehumidifier in there, draining straight to the reservoir actually.....so I'm kinda recycling the water too LOL

I also have a sump pump....pumped all the water I could out, but there is still quite a bit of water stuck in the two layers of 8mm tarp I have laying on the ground!! god damn it! just smoked a blunt, this is such a buzz kill!

make the whole basement into a GIANT dwc-

no sump in this basement? that would indicate a region where the water table is low.

a cheap way to get rid of water is a dry well. cut a 4x4 out of the floor and dig a 6 foot deep hole. get a 55 gallon drum(plastic) and drill a bunch of 1-2-3 inch holes in it. line it with the fabric they use in septic systems(remay) and put it down the hole. fil it with pea stone or similar. install a vertical 4" schedule 40 pipe vertically, 6 inches into stone, 1 foot above floor. cover the top of the bucket, a piece of panda film would work great, it just has to cover the bucket. cut a hole for the pipe and slip it on, make sure it goes down the side of the bucket a bit, so no soil can suck in.

fill the hole with dirt and compact(sand). fit flush mount floor drain. pour 4 inches concrete back into whole(8 bags).

1 day floor drain.

Wow! that was detailed Murfy....I would totally do it if I wasn't renting the house! however there is a 1'x1' metal tube that goes 3 ft down, and it's located in the lowest part of the basement, since the water was collecting in there anyway.....that's where I stuck the sump pump!

My bedroom is on the other side of the grow room closet and the water has seeped in under the walls and soaked my carpet though as of this morning, I can't exactly call my landlord and tell him my grow room flooded, can you fix it!?

subpump would work way faster, my basement flooded last grow to about a foot heigh and a subpump and hose and my basment was dry in 2 hours and its a big basment...will save ya time...ask a friend to borrow one if you know someone...

Shop Vac +1

Had that happen but on a smaller scale. Took a few trips but got all the water out of the room quickly.
