So im just in the process of finishing up my first led grow with my pro grow 260 and half way through flowering I started my first diy led grow light for some added light. Well i enjoyed making it so much i thought i need leds on the sides of my plant to help get better coverage for the side and lower buds. So i bough some more osrams leds, some more drivers some aluminum from the heating section of Home depot and some pvc pipes for my scrog and to hold the leds up and now i have my finished product which has been running smooth for 2 weeks now. I have 2 purple urkles and 1 chem dawg that are ready for this scrog swarm experiment.

As far as leds im using 14 on each side.... what do you guys think?

That set up looks nice dude.
How big of a tent is that?
I want to try a scrog.
I just popped 9 seeds of hashberry so hopefully I'll have a few females from them.
I made a scrog net that measures 3ftx3ft so I'm looking to put one of those in my scrog net.
Happy growing,
Peace

Also some of those plants on the right hand side are just about to finish up. I cut off most of the tops and now I'm letting the bottoms fill up, but nicer there gone I should have my main light the pro grow 260 directly over the swarm.

Hey thanks big bud. So the tent is a 4x4 which is a great size for a hobbyist like me but it does get crowded quickly and last grow the plant were everywhere and she could hold up her branches so I'm hoping the script net helps with the weight.

This was my last og kush which was cut down Monday but only the tops. As you can see these branches are to heavy to hold the buds up. Scrog time

I always thought that the scrog was to hold up the weight of the buds and to help support branches, but this is my first attempt at it and im still learning so thanks for the correct info... I did raise the plants a good 5in so thats should help.

Hey sorry for the long update. Ive been totally busy with work and snowboarding and my phone broke last month so taking pictures have been an issue. The side leds have helped a bunch. I'm getting thicker buds on my lower sites whack i was really hoping for. I did finish the three plants that were in there and I've now made it wider so i can fit 6 plants in there.
