From the UK and thinking about moving to California

I always wanted to live in california and I'm hoping to move there before 2020. One thing what is required to have a green card to live in the U.S? Do you need any school qualifications because if I had to be honest with you I didn't really do well in school (personal issues and wanted to pursue other things). I heard it's quite expensive to live there depending on the place. My current job is YouTube and I also own a website as well. On YouTube alone I make over £100,000 so in dollars that's over $144,735 and I don't make as much on my website but it's a couple of extra thousands pounds I can add to it. Would I be able to live comfortably on this salary or is it not enough? And will I be able to get a green card despite me not doing so well in school? Would they be ok with what I do instead of a ordinary job?

Unlikely you'll be granted a green card without an in-demand skill, unless you bring a significant amount of money with you that you're prepared to invest in the US. You'll need a minimum of $1 million.

You earn 150K a year through your YouTube channel? Forget about residency. Just fly in and out every three months on a tourist Visa.

Thought I read somewhere that if you buy a house in the US for $500K you automatically get citizenship.

It's more expensive to live in the U.K. Than in ca. My aunt is in London and their 5 bedroom house is worth 5x what it would be by the beach in la.

The thing is I live in one of the cheapest places to live in the UK which is the North East where the average house there is £100k and London's is £500k

You can live comfortably in CA on 140K. Not extravagantly, or on the beach, or anything like that but yes. However you're unlikely to get a green card so your only chance to stay is illegally. And it's hard to do that with online income and banks.

You can marry a fat lonely girl and yeah you can live just fine on $144k CA is a fucking desert though you pay 3 times as much for power as New England and a lot more taxes higher home price's and some bullshit gun laws. I'm sure water ain't cheap either with that drought. I wanted to move to CA at one point too but now that I know about it I may visit.

Also if weed is the main reason for the move just watch we will have much cheaper top shelf bud than CA just the electric bills alone and we have plenty of water.

im currently going through my green card process, its lengthy and expensive.
dont come to the US unless you can leave and have money to come back
you kinda have to "boarder hop" around a bit because you can only stay for so long and your processes for immigration take so long to go through the mailing system etc, you will extend your stay legally but sometimes you have to go back to your current country

if you dont have a good job i wouldnt suggest doing it, they will approve things and than you have like 20 days to give them thousands of dollars. so unless you got a lot of cash lined up right away dont go through with it or youll be denied and have to start back from square one money included. they DO NOT REFUND.
do you have a sponsor? its easier with a sponsor, it sounds like you dont. if thats the case really save up

but honestly...why usa? if i didnt marry who i did, i wouldnt immigrate here

my biggest info i could give you is that everyones green card experience is different, and everyone has different forms to fill out and no ones process will be exactly like yours or mine
but if oyu want to ask me questions ill do my best to answer
the best advice i can give you is
get a lawyer, they are well worth the cost because the forms are absolutely unbelievably fucking picky and if you fuck up you pay for your mistake because you typically send money with the form you fill out if its denied you have to re-submit and within a short amount of time too, and you dont get refunded so you have to pay AGAIN.

so its really much more worth it in the long run if you get a lawyer.

and if you have any sort of felonies you probably have a good chance of being denied. just fyi

everyones a bit different but most do like they buy the game and they do videos of them playing the game so you watch them and the game play
they comment
talk about gaming news, and whats going on in the industry
talk about upcomming and beta games etc.

they may even do short skits about games, or their own cartoons about gaming, etc
just all depends everyones got their own style.
typically though tthe gaming channels are signed onto a company that hosts several different players, and those players all play new games and write about them in articles or talk about them on youtube, pos and neg feedback etc.

its a huge industry so is e sports or e gaming.
people win millions of dollars from gaming competitions.

I personally am involved in a gaming company, although I dont do much at the moment, but hopefully i'll be writing articles for the website on gaming reviews within the near future.

I was shocked myself this one guy like pewdiepie is a multimillionaire and all he does is play games and act like a retard I seen some news report and watched a video like really?? I do like playing some video games but I fucking hate watching people play them!! I don't know about this younger generation. And I ain't even 30 yet!! :bigjoint:

And then the toy douche bags holy shit my daughter watches this stupid bitch Cookie Swirl she acts like a child and plays with all kinds of little pet shop, shopkin's etc and your damn kid won't leave you alone about buying the toys!! And she has hundreds of thousands of views probably about a millionaire by now and I bet the toy companies pay her too.
