From Start To Finish....Post Tips And Helpful Ideas

This is my setup. I do plan on getting more light but right now as you see i got 1-4000k light and 1-3000k bug repelant light with my rockband stand as a light stand and i got drip pans and reflectors all i need is dirt and as soon as i get that i will be posting more

its a small setup for personal stash im able to raise the height to 4', only tryna raise 1 or 2 beautys
 
Are you going to grow organic or hydro ? If hydro you have alot of work to do before you came get that system running .
 
no just some organic this is my first indoor so im just workin on some soil plants nothing fancy till i get a bigger space this summer
 
I have always grown hydro . But for soil you may have a chance . I would get more lights . Do you plan on vegging or going straight to flowering ?
 
yea i get paid next week ima add a few more lights and yea ima veg them and keep them topped till i know the sex then ima flower for as long as it takes cause im not really tryna get a "huge" yeild just some good green to smoke
 
I hear ya on that one . We all do it for the good smoke . But if your going to grow with CFLs , then you need to get you some 6500k (blue) spectrum lights for vegging . If its not an auto flowering plant it wont show sex till its flowered. For flowering you will need 2700k spetrum lights (red) .
 
thats great info, thank you :) but yea its just good bag seed really you wont catch my ass buying seeds for 50 dollars get the fuck outta here lol nah just playin im just broke but i got 4000k cfl im gonna use but i do plan on gettin more lights, (blue spectrum first)

I would definitely make sure you have all your gear before you start too. Nothing worse than realizing you need another light or another fan or forgot to get a certain expensive nute that you need to use right away and not having the money to grab it right away.

By the way, not to generalize, but most folks on here are new as well, and they may hand out info that they heard somewhere but don't actually know themselves. So just because someone on here told you a certain piece of advice, you still may want to research it yourself. For example, yes you can sex before switching to 12/12. Most folks on here just don't veg long enough to. I veg for 8 weeks, and yes they are big, around 2 1/2-3 feet tall, but I have room and enough light not to worry. Around week 7 I think it was, most start showing their sex.
 
Not handing out second hand information , Telling him what I myself have exp . Most ppl dont veg for 8 weeks . I grow a SOG so vegging for me in my limited space isnt even an option.
