Does anyone have a understanding of how a actual bud is build by the plant? I'm looking for the science behind it. So if a true guru wants to drop the answer I'd appreciate it. Thanks people!!!!!!!!!!

Hey there.
A bud is made up of many calyces or calyxes. They look like this:
When you break open a really nice nug, you get a bunch of fattened up calyces just like in the latter stages of this picture. The bud is a big mass of calyces.

So they grow in clusters, off of one another? Im one week into flowering and I'm paying very close attention my girls

They grow in clusters, next to each other. You have some primitive ones in the crotches of your branches where you saw which sex the girls are.. Those are little calyces.
