I'm alternating neem and spinosad right now. I'll probably switch to strictly bt once flowers start to develop. Ive been having crazy amount of worms this year already. I found a big one a few weeks ago that was eating leaves hole damn near and just leaving the veins. Captain jacks Deadbug Brew works like a charm for worms and kills other things like thrips, leafminers, and spidermites.
LMAO, that's crazy, I got lucky with my leaves, only a few to leaf hoppers but besides the brown spots they left, those leaves still are mostly green weeks later. last time I neemed I sprayed the hell out of a worm and it just stood up straight like WTF bruh, lol. The plants I sprayed with BT 3 days ago(?) the lil cannapillars are a sickly yellow everytime I see one so I'm guessing its working.

All just got alfalfa, kelp, neem meal tea foliar undiluted. Had an issue with N tied up in the soil that slowed everything down for a few days. But got the carbon to nitrogen ratio back on track. Back to growing like crazy.

Stopped LST on most the mini-shrubs. I think it's gonna get a bit crowded in here come flowering lol.

Holey shitballs man... Those little sumbitches. Sorry to see that bro.
That was fuckin quick huh? I need to get to range and blow off some steam lol. I almost feel like just setting these plants on fire. It sickens me to look at them in this state after all my hard work. I see zero aphids but I'm afraid I may be too late.

I'm almost afraid to ask but how are they doing?

Lol appreciate the concern bro. The heat is tapering off and the new growth is looking slowly coming in it seems. Was 102 today and will be 96 I think tomorrow. A big relief so that they will at least be able to photosynthesize a bit more to get some new foliage coming in. Everything that was yellowing is turning rusty/crisp as expected. No aphids in sight though. Only found some in my seedling cups and I went nuclear on those in an attempt to salvage whatever I can. Also red ants are long gone. Aphids probably cut my yield way down but as long as I can get a OK harvest out of them I'll be very grateful.

Awesome to hear man and gives me hope for when the Pony Express arrives with my bugs lol. Tapering off to a chilly 96 degrees? Get out the mittens!! lol. Too I wanted to mention, lastnight I gave them the phos bat/worm turd tea and left the sludge in the bucket and refilled with it water and only added a cup of alfalfa, by this morning it looked like it brewed 48 hours.... Nitrogen/Carbon happy place I guess.

Nice. I'm just going to give the beat up ones water with enzymes for a little while to break down all the dead roots and clear the aphids waxy residues off the live roots.

Backups getting ready to fill in the greenhouse got some other flavors germinating right now.20190817_215009_HDR.jpg
Everything is getting treated with a systemic before going into the greenhouses from here on out lol. The root aphids love the tender seedling roots. Its like a delicacy for them haha.

I finally filled in my third greenhouse. I might have space for 3 more plants. Greenhouse is about 6 foot tall at the peak. Im 6'4. Watering is gonna suck but gotta stay lowkey haha.20190817_090142.jpg

LOL.. My yard is ridiculous with toads, lizards, snakes and a few different kinds of wood and tree frogs. Even saw a ladybug sleeping on a leaf today. Hope these neem and BT doped critters keep attracting beneficials to the point nature takes care of my work for me... Can only pray to the Overlords that works out cause I'm already tired and it's a long way to the top still.

No snakes here. Just lizards and frogs. I need to find me a garden snake to stick in the next gopher hole I see. Last week I went out back and saw a huge mound like 12 inches high by 3 feet wide. I buried a dead gopher I had saved in the mound and leveled it out, they haven't been back since lol.

LOL, put that same stuff you used to make cages around the base of the fence and hit the pet store, just bring him in in the winter. And put a "Guard Snake on Duty" sign up lmao..

I have a plant that seems to be consuming it self.First it was grasshoppers & now it's green flying bugs with clear wings. when it gets hot i water every other day to water & the other day i shower the outside of the smartpot & put a small amount of water on the top soil to keep them cooler. This one is in a smaller smartpot so the consumption is higher because of being busy or lazy

Are the green bugs small with clear wings and antennas? If so then you may have an aphid infestation. You can look into nolo bait for the grasshoppers. You can also use a molasses and water solution to kill on contact. It will clog the grasshoppers pores and suffocate them because they breath threw their pores. Its crazy to watch them stiffen up and freeze after spraying them.

Edit: I zoomed in and those white spots on the lower leaves definitely look like aphid damage. You can buy green lacewing larvae or eggs. They're called aphid lions for a reason.
