fresh ideas and minds for my stealth dresser? :)

hey fellow tokers i'm fairly new to growing, ive done it once before. however this is my first cabinet/stealth setup.
i'll attach the rough 2 year old sketch i have as a plan
anyway i use marijuana quite a bit because it helps with my depression and anxiety.
ive finally had enough of paying ridiculous prices where i live for it so i have decided to make my own grow box
basically i want this thing to be silent, smell free, very sneaky and produce some good bud of course
i also swear i have o.c.d so detail will be spent on this thing haha
if i do a job its usually over the top in the planning stages... i dunno i guess i get a bit too proud of my work sometimes



so thats the plan
also this will be made from an old dresser i have and entry will be from the back (lol)
hopefully some fresh minds can help come up with ideas
can anyone tell me how to wire up lamp holders to a male 3 pin (aus)wall out let plug? i will be using 24w cool daylight cfls
i was hoping to connect the 4 lights to one lead and 2 lights in the veg room to another lead.
the leads will go into timers and into a power pack in the top half of the box.
also can anyone help with the fans?
how should i wire them? was thinking of putting a pc power supply in there but seems like a waste for 4 fans.
i wish someone made a pc fan controller that runs off 3 pin wall outlets.
also ive seen people making their own carbon filters and being the avid 'do it yourselfer' i will probably do something like that with a little inline fan.

so many things to say and been thinking about it heaps haha

I've got the lighting figured out now. I just need to work out how to wire the fans now. And maybe some advice on the carbon filter setup would be great

Fans are simple two wires. Just splice up a two prong cord and connect those two wires to the two on the fan (1 wire to 1 wire)

Carbon filter... There's several different ways you can make them. I don't know how well each one works except the mesh pencil cup one. That's what I use, and its been doing its job pretty well

Yeah I think I will give the pencil holder filter a go. It seems to be perfect for my size.
And I was hoping for a more safe option for the fans. A fan speed controller would be neat too if I could incorporate one,

do i need a 4" inline fan to vent my flowering space?
the space is only 6.5 cubic feet and i dont wanna overpower the space and suck my plants up the vents
will perhaps a pc fan be able to suck through a diy filter?

I would go with the inline fan. It might get stanky and I don't think the PC fan would hack it. You can buy premade fan/carbon filter combos for around 100 USD. But I went with this http://m.tigerdirect.com/products/3843504 to power my fans in my little box

fan and filtter wise i use a wooden box 10x10x15cm with arctivated carbon and filter material from a pet shop inside, with a couple fan covers from jaycar.
pc fan and 12v regulaterd power pack from jay car, i just took the red wire and put it on the inside if the plug and the black taped to the out side of it, works fine
passvie vents are best specaly if you have u carbon box on them as it will keep a negitive pressure in ur box stoping smell seaping out the cracks....

Okay so I'll put a intake grill on the back of the flowering side and have a fan sucking out through a filter.
So you don't think an inline fan would suck too much for a 6 cubic foot space?

Anyway thanks for the opinions guys. I guess I'll work out ventilation and lighting when I get my own techniques and preferences.
At the moment I'm just using bag seed to get everything setup and running smooth and then I might order some nice seeds.

What's the go with auto flowering seeds? Do they just start to flower regardless of light? Or is there more traits to them.
And anyone know of some good places to get seeds that will send to Australia?
I've had a look at bonza seeds and they seem to be the go so far

I'm believe autoflowering strains have Cannabis Ruderalis genes which causes them to flower according to age not light cycle. I'm pretty sure to get the best yeild you want to treat it like veg stage, either 24/0 or 18/6. The flip side is clones will flower with the mother and die at the same time, slightly less potent and smaller yeild due to Ruderalis genes. However I have seen some dank autos and some decent yields. I personally have never grown one though.

No problem man, I should also add that they're kind of a "one trick pony" in that they have a predetermined life span. Sounds weird right lol? But they will die after they're done flowering and they will start flowering as soon as they're alive.

But fem seeds will def work and time some headache out. Less chance of hermies with regular seeds though. But I'm not sure about Australia.. Hmm if you ever visit America you can probably relatively easily get your hands on dank seeds. It wouldn't be a selection like a website but you could find someone to buy you some seeds from a club. Especially with an Australian accent, I mean I would be stoked to get an Australian some seeds. They got you on lockdown over there with bud, don't they?
