Fresh area in grow garage

I have a 20x20 garage but I'm only currently using 6 315w cmh over 2 4x8 trays. My question is how bad is it that I do have any fresh air coming into the garage ? Probably only a small amount through cracks of the door . I have 2 12" carbon filters sucking air out of the garage through the attic and I also have 4 oscillating fans on.

Is no fresh outside air bad ?

It's best to have outside air available. You could look into co2.

If you can go into the garage, close the door and hang out, it's not air tight and you should be fine as long as there is circulation in the grow area.

Opening up to outside air with a vent should be cool, something with a damper and you can use to adjust how much, and it can help control temp.

If it's a "house garage" and not a "shed garage" (attached or separate) you might have to be more "neat" with alterations. If it is a standalone shed without central air, roof vents or an exhaust vent would be good if needed to get the heat out.

If your blowing air out then the same amount of air is also coming in. Pollen is one thing that concerns me with outside air.

Agree. It sounds like he has a small grow area inside the big area, so maybe a tent? A HEPA filter would be a plus on any vent, but as it is, the air is still finding it's way in - pollen, spidermites and all :)
