Ok it spose to drop down to like 28 tonight 1 week ago i did my planting outdoors...... do you think they suffer frostbite ? and not only that but all the fruit trees around here have bloomed out fully. no apples again this year. im sick of this fucking weather up here

well thats why you dnt plant so early up here. Make some little frames or something, and throw some bedsheets over them for the night, should keep them alright. And apples should be fine as well. It wasnt as bad as they said it was gonna be last year. there was still a lot of apples at the end of the year, and the tress flowered WAY earlier last year due to the warm up in march, natures much more resiliant than man likes to think. This isnt the first cold snap in may thats ever happened

hey man. aint seen u in a while hope all is well. the thing here is umm i have to walk through water to get to them in a swamp. cold air sinks so its gonna get cold in that swamp. a friend had seedlings outdoors for a month now they went through 26 and 28 degree temps for two weeks and still looks good but mine went from 5 week old closet to out doors without hardening them.

I watched friends plant startings and seeds this week here in Northern Michigan and I shook my head silently as they too must learn and live . I wont bother until Mother Nature gets her shit together this year lol .

Went out Morel Mushroom hunting yesterday in the snow and it was crazy but I did find 21 mushrooms in a spring snow squall , hardest damn hunt of my life and the coldest too .

lmao damn. i normally do wait but i seen his make it through some shit so thought what the hell ya know. owell if i have to all germ more of them. as for the mushroom. i aint seen the first one yet. would love to find at least a couple dozen

covering them like I said, will create a little micro climate around your plant, and while the night temps drop, the area around your plant should be considerably warmer, just make sure you cover it good and try and prevent any cold air from seeping in...and yea, don't come on here much in the winter, I pop in and out, also a little paranoid, due to what happened last year, and recent events as well, trying to stay low key. As far as others are concerned Im not growing this year

I'm at 40N and thought about putting some out because of the warm spell but supposed to be 32 here tonight. Usually end of May is my plant date.

i'm also at 40 degrees north. they said it was frost chance but i just checked the weather and it has changed. it is now suppose to be a low of 37 degrees (before it said 34). it will barely frost and it should be 50 degrees by 10am
