Free LED Bulb from Mars Hydro

I ordered one last week, on June 8th. It is now June 13th. I am in the UK and it arrived today. Many thanks @angelicious for sharing this info. I will let you know how it performs but here is the proof it is not a scam... I am a very happy boy as it is not often you get anything for free in life...:-)

Sweet! I don't think mine has even been shipped yet, or maybe it has but they didn't update the account. I'm across the pond in Ireland. Hopefully it'll arrive soon. Cheers for the update!
 
I have a Sweet seeds cream caramel sat under it at a distance of six inches and it is giving me 45,000 lumens on the dial. As you can see in the picture I have a 110w CFL sat beside it with my other CC girls and that is only giving me 14,000 lumens at about 2 inches from tops. I am looking forward to see how well it performs, being my first step into LED lighting, compared to the CFL...! I feel like a kid with a new toy.... Any tips or pointers from anyone who has used one of these bulbs ?
 
No tips, I'm a complete noob when it comes to LEDs. My bulb arrived btw, whoop! I'm having fun trying to source an E27 lamp hanger though, pfft. Want to get that baby in there asap!

I sourced my E27 holder from a reptile shop as they use them for heat lamps for the reptiles... I am also finding this LED lamp in conjunction with the cfl lighting is making my girls really bushy... :-)

Oh snap! My mister used to keep beardies and geckos, we had a chameleon at one point too. Must suss if he still has a heat lamp.
 
Hey Slyone, how is your LED working out for ya?

LED on the left, 300w CFL on the right. Notice a difference? :) Bear in mind this is my first grow in about 5yrs and I've stressed the fuck out of them but they're still going strong!

I notice on your LED side the buds are looking slightly more bushier, is it my eyes ?? Anyway I have had to take my tent down as I had a visit recently so rather than risk my gear I dismantled my setup until I feel safer again. Otherwise my girls are doing well but alas are at the mercy of the elements for the time being. Would love to follow your grow to see how it progresses... Up until I had the visit I was loving my new LED.. Has got me looking and reading more into that side of things for the future... ;-)
 
Ah no, dose! Hopefully the outdoors won't do them any harm.

Check out my journal in my sig, you'll find updates there. Way more bud sites under the led. Now I know I'm losing some light from the cfl as I have to keep the wardrobe open to keep temps down, so that might explain the difference.

As long as it doesnt get below 40f and arent in direct sunlight at first they will be fine
