Most bottled nutrients give you a ph to water with their products. With soil, I always stick between 6.5-7, Coco between 5.8-6.2 no matter what brand I’m using. The lower your ph the more acidic it is, the higher the ph the more alkaline, neither of the 2 are favorable, which is why you typically want to land between 6-7 which is neutral. 6.8 compared to 7 really isn’t a difference. Most bottled water I’ve used usually hits a little over 7. My tap water is 7.1. The distilled water I use to use was 7.4, so I was forced to ph down, but with distilled water I was forced to use calmag, calmag drops the ph so I didn’t have to make any adjustments to the ph.
