Fox tailing Sativa Problem

Has anyone else dealt with this? Fox tailing, tassles, dreads, whatever you call it. This sativa has been in bloom for ten weeks. I don't believe it is heat and definitely not a light issue. My flower box is pitch black and my other plants are fine. 350 watts of cfl in a 2x3 box, with only three plants. Lights from above and below. It's like the calyxes are just spread out linear instead of clumping like normal. I cut a small bud last week and it was great. No way I would drive after a bowl. Hard to see trichomes too unless you get right on a bud. I guess I'll let it keep going but if I haven't seen any big change in the next few weeks, I guess I will chop chop

I know sativa can take longer, but I think I got a bad strain for my first.....it's kind of hard to tell from the pics, but the main cola is quite dense. It just has little mini branches of calyxes popping out every where. I figured I'd give it 14 weeks to see if it fills out any. Almost looks like its revegging, but again my other plants are flowering fine.

what strain it that? i recommend stepping up to HID lighting. Sativas can grow finiky and looks like you got a long flowering one. It sounds like its not a strain for your setup id finish it up and move on.

take a pic of the buds I didnt even see any to see foxtailing, it's flowering right? I see a bunch of 3 bladed leaves Lol. but I mainly grow landrace sativas, they're worth it

It obviously has not been getting enough light as the buds have not formed up the right way at all. And I may even go out on a limb and say you have a light leak or maybe excess N. You have problems far greater than foxtailing, put it that way.

This plant i grew with 250 watts. Note the foxtails.

yeah. That's why I said fox tailing/tassling. Never seen it before and hard to find info on it too. Definitely not a light leak. I'd bet a nut on it. lol It's from a bag seed bean, btw and the reason I bought seeds for my next grow.

named genetics will improve your results a lot. you should look into the 250 wat hps though, cfls will always lack penetration power, though i have seen decent results with them.

Qwizo, yeah it's flowering... kind of...lol. My other plants look great. This is weird. You mentioned leaves. Yes! It is leafy as hell. You have to move leaves to see the bud!

Like I said I smoke a wispy little bud kwell more of a string of calyxes!) and it was REAL good. Unless something happened for me to stress her, I'm guessing shitty genetics?[/URL]

I've got two Hawaiian Skunk Haze freebies from Herbies that I am vegging for two or three weeks then switching them to the flower box. I will probably chop this one then. That will be 13 weeks and honestly, I don't see her filling out anymore than she is. I though about going 10/14 to push her to finish, but I don't want to screw up my other three plants.
