Found a keeper! Bagseed How do I make it last

I found a few seeds in some purps and I planted them. Out of 3 seeds 2 produced plants. One is short and squat like an indica and one is tall and lanky like a sativa. So I planted these in the spring and now they are in full flower outside. The tall lanky one is gonna be some funk. It stinks so good. It has pink hairs. Only the tall one is like that. The small one dosent have the smell or the pink hairs of the taller one. So now this thing is like 4 weeks from harvest. I want to know how I can keep this plant alive after harvest. I have heard about people doing it before and I have a tent inside so I can put it inside if I need it. Any help would be great.

Re-vegetating is what you are looking for. Where you cut off all but a few bud sites and leaves and put it in 24/0 light cycle. I can take 2 weeks to months to reveg.

Lots of tutorials. It's super easy, i've trimmed about 75% of the root ball when I did it. and it took about 2.5 weeks.

if the plants are outside then re-vegging will require that you dig them out of the ground and pot them up into pots, it's doable but iffy, it might work, it might not although it is probably worth the try.

...what you can also do that may prove more successful is to take at least a half-dozen cuts from the lower branch's right now and attempt to clone them, all you need is one to root and your genepool is safe, lol.

peace, bozo

btw, i'd suggest you try and save both pheno's as you can't judge a book solely by it's cover so it could turn out that the taller one LOOKs way better but the shorter one is the shit. ...if you do succeed in rooting them or re-vegging them you'll want to keep a close eye on them if you decide to flower them indoors, i've had some that did great outside but hermied inside so be watchful.

Due to growing area I cant get a good pic, but I will get one when I harvest. Thanks for the help. I have been growing bagseed outside for many years and this one plant looks and smells super awesome.

I have revegged plenty of plants by pulling the stalk and replanting in a small 1 gallon container... I use mycos for the roots before repotting and I try to leave all popcorn buds plus a few fan leaves.
