Forced Early Harvest

So, I have to take a business trip that is going to take me away from my plant for about 2 weeks. I don't have anyone I trust enough to babysit her while I'm gone and I'd rather not take any chances of her dying or developing any rot. I leave Friday, and am planning to cut her early Thursday(like 2am) so that I can hang her out to dry for about 36 hours before I have to take off. It's a road trip so I'm going to be taking the curing jar along with me so I can keep up on that.

The question is this: Thursday morning will be 41 days since flowers first showed, I don't know the strain as it was a bagseed. How badly do you think this will effect the final product? I can try to get some better pics if these don't do any good. I can't take trich pictures though. They never turn out.

Looks to me like they are about ready for harvest. I would harvest completely when you chop them down. You want to avoid cutting and hanging plants without trimming as you go. It is much more tedious to trim branches that have been just hanging for a while. Reason is that the small sugar leaves that should get trimmed will curl up make later trimming a chore.

Good thinking to take a cure jar with you!

Good luck, BigSteve.

Super nice plant bro. I would wait for all of those white pistils to turn amber, but it looks like it would still be some fire. Personally, if I were you I would invest in an auto-watering system or create my own really fast, since it is just the one plant and should be easily manageable. 2 weeks is kind of a lengthy time, but I'm sure you could rig up something to get the job done if you really wanted to let it finish. Maybe look into something like the following :

I think the idea in this video is your best bet

Since these should be the last few weeks of flowering for your plant, you don't have to worry about feeding.
Hope it was any help!

I saw those and comtemplated something along those lines but I don't think I have enough time to calibrate to make sure they don't get drowned out.
There is another plant that I just started from seed a couple weeks ago that I'm not to concerned about. I'll give it a heavy water and hope for the best. It's recovering from the second topping so I don't think it will take up much water for the first several days anyway. The one in the pictures is my first grow so I don't know if I want to take the chance with a make shift auto watering system...
