For dwc when do I put in water?

Do I plant my seed in my pellet and put it in the humidity dome like I do soil? Or do I plant my seed and pellet directly into the bucket/clay pebbles?
 
for beter results I would start it the conventional method and wait untill you have a root ball to move to bucket..
thats just how I do it, some start it directly in there perminent home..
what it comes down to is preference I guess.

All I do is grow DWC 5 gallon buckets and as soon as my seeds germinate I place them in rockwool cubes into my buckets and will usually have a seedling popping out within 24 hours
 
^don't listen to this, rockwool is shit insulation, start in dirt, transfer at one mo old. Pellets (peat) kill seedlings too.

why would he start in dirt and then transfer to hydro? dude check my grows I think I know what I am talking about when it comes to DWC

This is bad info.

Try to avoid transferring from dirt to hydro at all costs. Just put your seeds into a damp(not wet) rockwool cube and you'll see roots in about a week. Then you can place them into your buckets.
 
Definately not a good idea to go from soil to DWC, especially not at 1 month old; 1 month from seed and you will be digging up bushes with massive soil root balls. Below pics are 1 month from seed.

Here is my formula, if anyone cares:

1. seed sits in a shot glass for 36 hours in room temp tap water
2. seed placed between paper towel in warm room until germinated (usually less than 24 hours)
3. germe'd seed goes into room temp tap water soaked rockwool
4. seedling appears in 48 hours
5. seedling placed under 125 Watt Fluro until roots emerge from rockwool cube (usually 3 - 5 days)
6. plant into DWC for vegging under 400W
