For Big Island residents it's time to stop smoking!!!!

As a resident of Puna the past three years I can tell you that the vog(smog caused by volcano) doesn't linger in Puna very often. AS a matter of fact. Honolulu will get tenfold the amount of Vog that Puna gets. Yet it's taking it's toll on my lungs too! I smoked cigarettes for about 12 years, ending that dirty habit about 11 years ago. My right lung collapsed 12 years ago too! I hated that tube stuck into my side!:cuss:
But now once again my lungs are screaming out for help. This time from Kilaeua Volcano. For those of you mainlanders who may not realize it. But this volcano has been erupting for more than 25 years!!!!!! So mix that volcano in with one's cannabis smoking habits and you have a recipe for a medical disaster of the first degree!

So I no longer smoke cannabis. Instead I have joined the ranks of medical vaporizers! A few years back my friend had a volcano. At the time I thought the volcano was cool, but the bag was a hassle! Plus the price of a volcano is staggering! They range in the neighbor of $500 to $650.00. A bit steep for my wallet. But a portable vaporizer was what I needed! The market is full of all kinds of vaporizers. So I bought one and haven't looked back.

Are any of you guys vaporizing? Wow, I love it. The flavors of your cannabis are all at the tips of your taste buds. It's sooooo cool how they work too. So simple, yet so awesome!
If any of you are considering buying a vaporizer, may I suggest the brand I got! Mine is a portable vaporizer called the "I-inhale". To me it is the best vaporizer this side of the Volcano. It is the only vaporizer that has a two year warranty, and the only vaporizer that uses 'Butane technology'. Most portable vaps stink of gas smells....noT this puppy. She stinks from only what you put in the bowl bongsmilie

If anyone needs info about this model of vaporizer please feel free to PM me.

To all Big Islanders: Are you aware that Hilo now has Hawaii's one and only Cannabis co-op? If you were wondering, the answer is yes. People can get their meds there too!:joint:

hey puna!! I got a vaporizer myself and while I still love ot...I don't use it all the time..for some reason, it feels like somethings missing from my highs....I heard it is because you lose some of the cbn and cbd and stuff..... mostly get just straight thc..love my vaporizer though...but I honestly get higher if I use a bong..lot of people say they get a "head" high from the vaporizers as opposed to a "body" high.. I believe its cause of the less cbn, cbd etc. etc.....cleaner smoke, thats for sure though....alohas!

aloha all. hey dr. I know what you mean, I got a vaporizer because I had seen where it is good for the lungs. I also felt something was missing, couldn't put my finger on it but the high is diffenitly different. I'd rather hit my pipe. aloha

me too aunty, me too :) LOL aloha and see you 4/19..... :)

My preference is the vaporizer. But I understand what you folks are talking about too. Listen, I've been using cannabis since 1967, that's a lot of tar on one's lungs! Throw in the sulfur in our air when we gets kona winds & a phatty and I suffer as much as I enjoy! But with the vaporizer I know longer have this problem.
For me personally, what I feel is missing when I use a vaporizer is that heavy lethargic feeling. But if I use my vaporizer for a good ten minutes, I'm pretty well medicated after that. Since I been smoking since 67 it is pretty hard to go vap 100% of the time. I find myself craving joints from time to time. I miss the process of cutting it up and rolling it. It's probably why I have avoided a grinder all this time. Does that make sense?

hahaha....makes alot of sense to me puna...you still growing or retired?! you must got some secrets you not telling anyone yet....hell 67'? I wasn't even born yet!! right on!!
