For a first grower using CFL, would you recommend bubbleponic, or soil grow?

Hmm I guess you can go either way. You might have a better time of it with soil if you're new to growing but do better with bubble cause of the benefits of hydro. It's not 'hard' to do hydro but it needs more attention and oddly the smaller the system the more attention it needs. You need to watch your water pH like a hawk. In a small rez it can get out of control fast. Also, in hydro you'd be limited to hydro nutes. So, you couldn't really do organics or at least is harder.

It's kind of up to you and what's important to you. :)

I disagree with this... I use multiple hydro systems and the ease of control is much better. I currently run a SWC, DWC and Ebb N Flow. The only truth in this comment is that you need to watch your pH closely. No matter what size system or resivior you are using. You can build a small, simple and effective bubbleponics system for only a plant or two for cheap! If going chemmy with nutrients I can reccomend a few and if you want organic i can reccomend those as well. Better result and yields with hydro. Other than nutrients just buy yourself pH up & pH down plus a pH meter and you're all set!

To put it politely, bullshit hydro is bullshit. It's super expensive for one power/nutes and nobodys ph is the same. You need a PHD in biology. You can read about just ph for days, and find that none of it applies to your situation. The biggest thing, everything and i mean everything has to be exactly right to see any sectacular growth.

Just to check yourself, look up some nutes and prices and sizes and you'll see why fertilizer company's are the richest in the world.

It's a weed and it needs 'DIRT'.

 O boy.. great plants can be achieved by many means. let's not make this about soil vs hydro when we're just trying to help out a new grower.

I've personally come full circle. Soil - hydro - coco - soil - coco - soil.. with a few side trips. I had a good time with all of them and all of them have some drawbacks.

Please do recommend the organic hydroponic food you use. I'd love to hear about it and exactly how you use it.

i dont know what could possibly be hard bout dwc .......read and follow directions.........after awhile u can throw that ph meter away
