Just found a fucking dick on my plant. Didn't know for sure what it was at first, but had an idea. I took tweezers and pulled that bitch off. When I did, a small amount (I mean very small the nanner was def premature) of pollen came off. I have searched high and low and am fairly certain this is the dick in my crop. I'm at 80% cloudy and less than 5% amber on this particular plant. The others are at about 80% cloudy no amber.

Questions:
How long does it take after pollin drops for seeds to start forming? I plan on waiting if i can to chop as
Should I say fuck it and chop now and not risk it?
Odds are there are more of them hiding within the buds correct?

Thanks guys. Who knew a first crop could go so well only to be fucked with this at the end. I'm so pissed it's unreal.

I'd spray the plant down to wash off any pollen floating around and sitting elsewhere on the plant, then have a fan blow on it until dry. Females pistals start drying up very quickly after pollen hits it. Or, since it sounds like you have a week or less to go, don't worry about it.

57 days into 12/12, but they had nice preflowers developing about 2 weeks before switching. Thanks for the quick response guys, I appreciate it.
I'm hesitant to spray them down as my humidity stays in the upper range it should be anyway. Wouldn't want any bud rot or mold/mildew

Yeah moisture will kill any stray pollen, I would wash them down asap.

Pistils will show in a day or so by dying back if pollination occurred. You should be fine bro, just keep and eye out for more and pluck as you go.

FUUUUCK! TOday is just not my day guys. Was moving the plant to the bathroom to flush and spray, and the stem snapped 6 inches from the bottom. It's as big around as a half dollar, but it just fucking snapped. Guess I'm harvesting a plant today

Seeds will start to form fairly quickly once pollinated, if you have a week or less I wouldnt worry about it.

Sorry to hear about the pollen and snapped stem.
I had a branch break off today.
Were you able to duct-tape her back together?
Btw, I lived in SJ till I was 10 then moved to Sac.

How long do seeds need to be mature?
I seeded a few plants on purpose, but dont know when they will be done.

ugh.

Water DOES NOT KILL POLLEN.

And spraying your plants so late in flowering is a good idea if you want mold.

You cant "wash pollen off" a plant. If it opened in proximity to a female flower, you can be sure she caught it. Thats what she is made to do. It will pollinate the bracts that received the pollen. They will have seeds. If it opened in the room, millions of pollen grains are in the air. They are microscopic and travel long distances. If you have a fan, you stand a good chance of having multiple pollinated buds.

The whole "spraying nanners" thing is meant to wet the pollen so it doesn't disperse in the air and pollinate all the female flowers. Like spraying down a dusty field to keep the dust down.
It is a bad idea and pretty worthless. You would have to spray the sac EXACTLY at the same time as it opens, then swoop in a lightning speed and catch the wet pollen as it falls before it hits any stigma, which would be right next to it.

The best thing to do is pluck it as soon as you see it and keep a lookout for more. If I had a majority of milky white trichomes I would harvest. Its not worth it. You dont want the amber ones, they just signal that the trichomes have maxed out production and are starting to decline.

There was no mending her. It was a pretty significant break. I went ahead and chopped her up last night. Was my first time harvesting... What. A. Pain. In. The. Ass. Almost makes me want to reconsider growing lol

well if this is yer 1st harvest, I a need to go back to school:wall:

I saw yer buds hanging on the 600

With my WWxG13 and Chemdawg I'm growing I battled severe deficiencies so when I harvest those you will know I'm still a newb lol. I might get 3/4-an o (dry) off each if I'm lucky... But damn they are sparkly!

My whole crop was/is battling def and mites.
I tried to change nute brands and the stuff either sucks or I was dosing them wrong without my meters working.
I had several problems with bulbs burning out as well.
I have one side under a 400mh now and started with a 1000phs then a 600 hps....
At least they are sparkly like you said bout yers
Bugs are at bay, but def never recovered, and yield is gonna be less than half usual.
Not to mention I am flowering 13 strains and have only grown one of them b4.

My Grape Krush usually has colas 2.5" or so dia and long, now 2-2.25" and no real length on any of em.
I hope to get at least a lb outta that room.
18 girls in there...maybe Ill be pleasantly surprised.

I hope so man. Are you just running 1 of each strain? And I'm surprised I've had no bug issues. I've been rather careless about them and actually found this clear earwig looking mf'er on the one I was chopping up last night. Thought it was a thrip, but it was way bigger and had pincers. Once my tent gets in I will be keeping things more locked down and adding an extra 600. Hoping to get up to a lb per crop minimum like you said

nononono.. bamboo poles and zipties after you do a grafting tape repair on the main stem... unless you really wish to harvest early, that is.

The pics didn't do the snap justice. It was reeeeeeal bad. I would say more than 4/5 of the way through and just hanging by the skin. Even tried duct taping a board to the side of my bucket, then duct taping around the plant and then to the board lmao. It just kept falling. Had quite a lot of weight on it, but for as huge as my stems were I expected them to be able to hold up. Will definitely be running tomato cages this upcoming crop and vegging again for 6 weeks. If I can get 5 dry off each or more and do 8 of them, I'll be real happy even if my new strains aren't big yielders
