Flying with medical cannabis from CA to Hawaii?

What do you mean by it will be easy to obtain once I'm there? I've heard that there are no dispensaries. I've got friends in Hawaii but there all on the Big Island.

Come on man, use your head. Its a federal offense. Just hit up any beach. You will find someone that is selling it. Especially on the big island.

I think know what you are implying, but at my age it's really not my style, and by the way like it says in my post I'm going to Ohau not the Big Island. I've thought about edibles, are they just as detectable by odor? It's kinda ridiculous, being reccomended by a Doc. to consume cannabis for medical reasons but not allowed to take the cannabis/medicine with me when I travel. Opiates are allowed and they're much worse for you than cannabis. Guess its all about waiting forever until the Gov. Can get its shit together and start drafting some laws which make better sense. Probably be waiting a long, long time considering our Gov.'s track record.

Yes there are states that legalize medical mj, but it's still a federal offense, they don't care abt state laws especially these days, I'm sure you realize how stubbon the feds are regarding mj, weather medical or legal, and yes you're right, it's gonna be a long time before we can change their minds unfortunately, maybe not even in our times, I've been waiting for more than 40 yrs and we've only gone so far.
No doubt, I agree with you regarding not being able to travel with it but federal law is no joke. I saw someone out of sacramento get caught trying to sneak some marijuana in cigars. It was not pretty, cops everywhere. I saw you are going to Ohau. I couldnt see why it would be different than the big island. When I was there 1 year ago it definitely was not hard to find. You wont feel out of place asking I wouldnt think.

Nothing. I flew to Honolulu and had an awesome 10 days.
Walking around a town you dont know asking for herb is asking to get robbed or sold some pretendo.

That wasn't my experience. There is an illegal market for tourists and the McDonalds parking lot in Waikiki, but it's kinda sketch. I had a difficult time finding anything good there.
SFO doesn't care about medical marijuana. Put it in your bag and you'll be fine. I'd be more sketched about buying bud from a stranger in Hawaii than bringing it out of SFO. If the TSA called the cops on you (doubtful) the SFPD would be the ones to show up. The SFPD isn't going to bust you for a personal quantity.

Get a Carmex container. Empty it out, fill it with some fire wax. Put a lair of carmex back on top of the container. Remove the carmex once you land and are out of the plane. No one is going to detect that.
