Flushing

One of my flowering plants has been overfertilized and now the bottom leaves are beginning to turn yellow and die. My question is should I put plain water in the reservoir and if so for how long? The leaves are curling to the point that they are claw shaped. I was thinking plain water until the plant looks normal again and then change the water to full strength nutes? This plant has been flowering for 3 and a half weeks. Thanks in advance for any advice.

First check your ph. 2nd dont give it plain water, that will cause a hec of a defiency in everything. That sounds like a P defiency if the yellowing leaves are working up from the bottom, just give it some more bloom.

I flush with clearex once a week three times the amount of the container. Then once with fresh H20 Make sure the ph is correct.

Hey Mo, yes, a good flushing is in order, but it can be done with a low ppm solution, and now that you know how much is too much, you will always use less than that. If you have a ppm meter, you can measure the strength that you give them, and the strength of what comes out. That will tell you how much nutes are in your medium.

HTH

They've been flushed and the right amount of nutes were added this time. I haven't had that problem before but I've never grown this strain. Seems to be improving already though, thanks for the tips.

Well, maybe she's not improving, here are some pics. Ionic Bloom and Ionic boost were added after plain water (maybe six hours of plain water). Should I have flushed longer?
