flushing is when you run pure water with no nutes (nutrients) for a while, useally if you overfeed them or a couple weeks before harvest

its when you give your plant straight water and no nutes for the last 7 to 10 days before harvest to get rid of any nutrients in the plant and soil...it is also leaching your soil when you have a ph problem or nutrient deficiencys...
