Flushing w/ soil?!

alright, recently it's come to my attention that you need to flush your soil during flowering using soil, not just hydro? is it true? is it needed? how do i do it?

You don't NEED to, but it is reccomended. It's good for getting built up salts out of the soil and also help make the bud taste cleaner. More important with non organic fertilizers I believe. You flush by running water over the soil at about 5 gallons of water for every gallon of soil. That's what I've seen people do. Some people also flush (although a different thing kinda) by not feeding their plants any nutrients and just water for the last week or two before harvest.
