Flushing to increase flower development (Greenhouse Seeds videos).

Yo Yo!

First post :)

I've been watching some of the old Greenhouse grow videos, like this one:

According to the video, they regularly flush, dry out, then re-feed. Dropping the EC down, then bringing it back up again. They claim that this helps the flowers to 'blow up' and increase yields.

What are people's thoughts on this?

Playing around too much with EC causes instability in the root zone.

if the input solution EC differs to greatly from the medium EC then it can have negative impact on the rhizosphere and can in some cases cause reverse osmosis in the root zone.

look to keep your plants happy and healthy as long as possible and the rest will follow.

There’s a reason why you don’t see many Greenhouse seeds grows on RIU because most of their gear is whack lol (with a few exceptions of course) most of Arjans gear came from Shantibaba and when they split he took his really good genetics with him.

Thanks for that. Yeah I don't like their gear either - had tons of shitty plants using their seeds. I just found it interesting and wondered if anyone had tried it. It seems like it would be pretty destructive to the soil we try so hard to cultivate, in my opinion.

Looked like they were growing in a soil-less mix. The water flush was to get ec back down near 0 for the next feed... That is my take on it fwiw.
Was refreshing to see a youtube video without an overfed defoliated plant.
