Flushing? Is it necessary for my plant?

So, I have only used water to feed my plant because I have used potting soil that feeds it for up to 9 months... Everything has gone great so far, I am on day 11 of flowering. Today, I read something about flushing...

Now, do I have to flush this plant before harvest? I haven't used any nutes or anything, just water. I read somewhere else that you have to flush the plant before harvest if using nutes, but do I have to if it's just the soil? I am assuming that because the soil has everything in it that I will have to flush.

What is the proper procedure to flushing and how do I know when it's properly flushed?

HELP!!!:leaf:

Its not going to hirt if you do flush the plant or your buds if you do flush what i have learned is that all you do is water the plant like 2 gallons of water for 3 days and that should flush it clean the reason is to get all the chem. out of the plant and it helps make your buds smoother tasting i hope that help you good luck. Your plant looks great why dont you let your buds grow some more?

I'm not stopping my grow... I still have around 45 or so more days (granted, if the trichs and pistils are ready). I was just curious and wanted to find the answer out as soon as possible. Thank you so much bro!

Am I supposed to flush the plant 3 days before harvest? Or 3 days close to harvest?
