Pictures have been added, so after reading whats wrong with em in this post, check out the third post that has the pics in em.
Ok, so I have a friend who uses Bio Canna Terra organic soil with the Bio Canna nute line to go with it.
He irrigated with ONLY pH'ed water (6.5 pH) for the first week then quarter strength solution in pH'ed water after that as directed on the packages instructions.
He increased the nutrient solution by a quarter every week once again as directed, but he is now getting brown spots on random places of his bottom foliage. Even some yellowing.
The healthiest plant, which stands at 11" tall was looking like it was going to ride that out, but is now showing very little browning on tips and edges of foliage. Not curing up at all though.
I know it isn't heat issues because the temps at the top of the canopy are kept at a constant 76F lights on and 72F lights off. I know what heat issues look like.
(Hindered my friends last crop horribly at 86F!!) So he surely invested in an excellent vent system which took care of that fo sho.
He wants to start flowering these plants who are all starting to show sings of female pre-flowers... Especially that short, bushy 11" incher. its also almost the same length in diameter too.
SO, my question is what should be done to correct this? I've heard people say "flush it out flush it out till it drains clear". I'm kind weary about the nutes that are already supposed to stay in there "organically" or should it even matter?
I think if I were flushing anything out, I would be less hesitant flushing out soilless medium than organic soil.
(Although the Bio Canna soil does contain some parting of soiless medium mixed with soil...)
What do you all think??
Suggestions comments and advice, please!
I'll try to get him to send me some pics and post them asap if i get some responses.,
I'll work on posting pics ASAP nonetheless.
Thanks! By the way, my sig has my friends non-updated grow journal in it. He is planning on sending me a whole bunch of pics to update with, "very very soon" were his words.. (Friend does not have internet so i'm posting for him with his input : )
kinda cool at the same time though! anyway
Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you all!
