fluorescent's Question

hello everyone,

From September till now , i have prepared many things

for em , i think it's time to grow now , but i still have one

question need to help ,thank you again~~

At first, i want to use fluorescent , because it's simple

and cheap to me(i dont know anything about the

electronics),but there are many kinds of tube , i dont

know which one is the best for seedling(i just have 15

seeds now) ,so my questions is what kind of tube i

should choose and how many watt i should use

(21w,39w,54w)????just for seedling now~~~

And if i choose one , shall i change or increase the light

later ?

sorry,i have so many Q about the light , but i really want

to seedling ASAP , because i hvae got seeds 2 monthes

ago, i really afraid that they wont germinate~~~

You want 6500 K (Daylight) lights for seedlings. The stronger the better T5 if you can get that, 2 foot 4 tube.
You can start with just CFLs too, same color, cheaper to get going right away while you decide what's best.

Either light color will grow the plant just fine, the hotter temp lights (6500) do a better job, but it isn't a night and day difference that you need to be too concerned about. Just get as much wattage as you can cram in there, the more the better as long as you can keep ambient temperatures in check.
