flowering

i have a plant thats flowering already! The plant is getting yellow leaves and eventually they die mostly on the cuttings. If this happens does that mean the buds will be smaller. Like do the bud sizes depend also on how many leaves there are on the cuttings that the buds are developing on. Basically im just saying that the less leaves there are the smaller and shorter the buds will be, cuz they grow only if there are leaves around ....am i right or wrong ?

the plant uses them 2 produce buds, guess u under feeding if already yellow and dead, use molasses, 1 t spoon per gal of water, pics r good so we can c what we r dealing with.
