going into my 4th week and my plants almost look ready to smoke. i know i am on track to a good yield i have a good mentor but he is out of town. what tips to maximise yield? i use gh nutrients. i am at 2 tsp per gallon mix. when do i start the flowering mix? can i clip water leaves for more light on bottom buds?

Don't clip the leaves (and they're called fan leaves BTW 
) They provide nutrients for the buds. They'll yellow and fall off as the plant sucks N from them, but they're good to leave on. Also, looks can be deceiving, even if the buds are looking close to ready, they still might need a couple weeks to add weight and potentcy. 4 weeks = 28 days. Alot of strains need a 70-80 days to fully mature.
