flowering time

I live in New York and have some Hollands Hope outdoors. They are doing quite well, and are almost 5 feet tall. I was wondering when they will start flowering? I hear all this 12/12 stuff but I don't really think that pertains to outdoors since we won't get 12 hours of night here until the end of september (Sunrise and Sunset Calculator). Since this strain takes almost 8 weeks to flower and finishes at the end of september, I would assume that it should begin flowering soon (at the beginning of august). Am I wrong in this assumption?

it should be a little bit for you, im in mass so weather is similar. I will be expecting plants to start flowering in about a month and a half

mine started flowering today, and we are getting 14hrs. and 2 min. of sunlight right now.

yea mother nature answered my question the other day, they have begun flowering and from the looks of it I am going to get a massive amount : )
