Flowering time....

Should I count my weeks of flowering from the day I put them on 12/12 or from the day they showed their first white legs when I'm doing cheese which is a short 8 weeks to bud?

The day I flip is day 1 of flower, every strain I've ever ran finishes in about the flowering time. I know some wait til after transition, but not me.

I believe breeders start counting from the first sign of buds. I bought NL#5 and it was said to finish in 8 weeks, but it took almost 11 to finish. However, it took 3 weeks for buds to show after i flipped. This has happened on every seed grow ive done.

I think it may be different if growing from clone. I just did White russian and its said to finish in 9, which it did counting right from flip.

So if i grow from seed I count from first day of flip so i can compare finish time between strains.

Agreed. This is why there are a million threads like,

"Why didn't my plant finish in the breeders given flowering time"

Literally, tons of them.

Clones flower faster than seed generally because they are already a fully mature plant.

My last runs was my first clone run and i got caught by suprise by them coming in on time...lol

Good thing too as my next batch of clones grew fster than expected and need to get in the flower tent...
