Flowering Time... Question??

I heard that as soon as you put them into the flower room from veg, to keep the lights off for 36 hours, then start your 12-12 cycle. Suggestions??

On my first grow I just went straight from 18/4 to 12/12 no 36 hour off.
they went into flower fine. they showed sex 10 days later.
but I did fuck up that grow. So lets see if I made another mistake.

We will see what happens. I did let them rest in pitch black for 36 hours, we will see if they sex faster then 10 days.

what up gorloc...u dont have to do the 24, 36, or 48 hours of darkness before flowering but seem people believe it helps the plant to begin flowering faster....in my opinion it is just a myth, but i have done it before

I had my power out for like 48 hours like a week into flower and id swear that there was a couple in the room that had shown sex but wasn't really taking off. When those lights went on after 48 hours they all had a bunch of thick white pistles. .So i didn't want it to happen but it did and imo they got a shot to the arm

Just flip the lights normally to 12/12 don't mess with that 48 hour bs. Are you Honestly trying to save a couple days when you'll be waiting about 55-65 anyway.?!. Talk about counting the days.

I did 32 hours dark right before my 12/12 and they showered sex in about 5 days. this is flo, which flowers fast anyways so ya. I bet it works for most strains.

i dont even bother with the 36 or 48 hours of darkness between veg and flower i just gradually cut the hours back by 2. start at 20/4 for 1 week, 18/6 for 2 weeks, 16/8 for a week , 14/10 for a week then 12/12. 5 week veg. Usually with this i can get plants to sex in like 3-4 days.
