Flowering time gap between strains

Hi all,

So I have a 2-3 weeks gap in between the time I harvest my first indicas and my last sativas. I know that it is really inefficient to combine these into one grow, but I'm deciding which strain I want to stick with and I personally love the sativa high. These strains are in the same hydroponics system, so I have to decide how I want to flush these so that I have all clean tasting buds, but so that I don't screw over the sativas too badly by denying them nutes during such a critical period.

To me, it seems like there are two options: I can either harvest at times to try to minimize the gap and just have 1 flush with sativas getting an extra long 3 week flush, or I can try to increase the gap, flush once for the 9 weeks plants, harvest indicas, then increase nutes and flush separately for the sativas.

I have never had to do this before, so I was hoping someone in here could give me some advice. I have heard that a product like Flora Kleen could help me minimize my initial flush to 4-5 days, but I'm concerned that any type of flushing could really screw over my sativas.
Any experience with this?

Thanks a lot

I think the best thing to do is have a dedicated flowering room, that is what I do. Therefore that room is always on 12/12, with plants continually being filtered in and harvested out. That has to be the most efficent way of maintaining different strains/varieties. Peace man.

You can also set up a much smaller veg closet with cfls, flouros, whatever. That is also what I do. The plants veg to about 6-8" then off to the big room they go under the HID's. My veg closet isn't big at all, but can hold around 25 plants in 6" pots. It is best to stagger these too so that you can stack pots on other pots corners. Put the smaller plants/pots on top. I don't know if I am explaining this well, but I hope you catch my drift.

I even use the a 48" flouro to line my clones on. I put them right on top of the fixture after they've started rooting (after they move from the dome). I use a smaller flouro hung higher above those to further stimulate vegging. I put about 8-10 clones on like that.

Hope it helps. Not the best with the clones cause you have to be careful they don't fall off. So just watch your hands in this tight space.
