ok so i have a hybrid ive been growing from bag seed and it is looking soooooo good its big and real nice it started showing its sex the 28th of feb a week ago. but i have a 2 questions
1.im using miracle grow time release because its all i can afford
at the last 3 weeks of budding how would i flush?
and
2.if i mix 1 1/2 table spoons of cane suger and 1 gallon of water and water my plant with it will it help at all?and with what?

-thanks

most people who flush w/2 weeks left, with adding no extra nutes, ur not going to have much to flush. sugar is not easily broken down & therefore not beneficial to the plant, the best natural sugar additive to help plump ur buds is molasses.

ok i undeserstand flushing but im asking if i flush with this time release nutes is it a bad idea to flush it

hopefully u'll get more replies, personally I don't believe in flushing at all. what is already in the bud is there, I don't thinking flushing where it is going to magically bring a bunch of water from the roots to the buds & somehow clean out what is already there, happens. Just my opinion.

There are alot of arguments for and against flushing. I have used chem ferts for commercial purposes, and now I use organic for personals. The chems should get flushed. They will leave a noticeable taste difference. When you think of a plant, it's mostly water. Whatever is in that water is drawn up from the soil. If the soil has nutrient salts, so will the plant! These salts taste gnar, and who knows what the health effects are.
Organic growing, I have often not flushed, and with a good cure, they taste great. Earthy. Chem ferts taste like burning.
The other thing is that your ferts are going to boost chlorofyl production, which means you will need to cure them for longer.
Time release will have a harder time rinsing out because they are not as readily soluble, hence the timed release. Do your best to flush them out, cure them very well, and you should have some tasty nuggets. Next time, forget the miracle grow. one of the benafits of using quality nutes is BIGGER YIELD. If you spend $10 more on good ferts, you will get ounces more dank!

Also, I would not recommend using molasses or sugar in an indoor grow. They can be benaficial, but they feed wierd organisms. Outdoor there are predators, but indoors the last thing you need before harvest is a bunch of root fungus or gnats. That said, I understand many swear by it. Read into it more and use it on your next grow if you like what you hear. This run, you're almost there! Just coast along, flush it, cure it, BURN IT!

Won't burn. Worst case it will just erode the time release chunks and not get rid of it all. as long as you are rinsing, the salts that are uncovered will wash out with the water. The only problem is that there will be more salts still because they slow release. If you flush very thoroughly (three times the volume of your container worth of water) let it dry out, then flush again, then water with ONLY water the rest of the cycle, you should be able to take care of most of it. Hope This has helped, and let us know how tasty your homegrown is when you get to smoke it!

ok so 3 weeks before harvest around the 5th week if im correct anyways i have a 15" pot wish i think is about 3 gallons? maybe two and a half gallon i take 3 times that and just water it wait for it to drain then water again and then again wait for it to dry which should take a few daysthen flush one last time then the last week no water what so ever am i correcy?
