When you switch your plants over to 12/12 and you leave your plants in the dark 3 extra hours. what will happen?? thanks
:peace: peace...

There is a chemical change in the plant and they will start to flower. its just like the days getting shorter as winter approaches.

The Question Was.....

When You Are Flowering And You Leave Your Lights Off For More Then 12 Hours Will Anything Happen To The Process????

You mean, if you had light for 12 and darkness for 15?. Bad idea, you have to keep within the natural 24 hour cycles. (12 + 15 = 27. No, no, no) But if you mean, darkness for 15 hours and light for 9, Yes. The plant thinks that winter is getting ever closer and she will flower faster. If you are wanting faster flowering, without wasting too much bud, try 11 hours light, 13 hours dark.

the more time the light is on the more bud you will get for the most part. I have heard of people doing 13/11 or 12.5/11.5 to get more light, but not more dark. I would stick to 12/12 if I were you.

ok.... let me start all the way over......
i flower my plants in 12 hours of light everynight. im not stupid.. i know there are 24 hours in the day. i know it takes 12 hours to induce flowering............
the problem is my timer was on an extra 3 hours, 1 night!!!!!!!!!!!!!
is there going to be a problem!!!!
1 night!!!! 3 extra hours of darkness!!!!!!
understand??? is there going to be a problem.
simple question, i need a simple answer
is 3 extra hours of darkness gonna effect flowering????

No your fine extra darkness will NOT hurt your plants. Just fix the problem so it doesn't happen again your okay though

thank you very much rolln1up.
new timer and it didn't turn on properly at the right time... so problem fixed now. just didn't know if it would cause any problems.
