I have an indica/sativa brickweed seed the plant been flowering for 6 1/2 weeks i read that hybrids or indicas dont take more then 8 weeks to finish flowering most of the hairs started to get orange but new white hairs keep coming out is this a problem or its normal?

The more the white hairs come through the bigger the yeild will be the white hairs will soon crstal up and join forces with the ones that are allready there to form long cola's.If white hairs are still comeing through at 8 week give her a extra week this will not harm the plant at all i always give a 8 week strain 9 week any how.By giveing the plant that extra week you will be supprised how much a differance this can make to a yeild it gives the plant more crstal production resulting in a heavy buds............Tyke

Hermano, I harvest mine when white hairs stop growing. If you have new white hairs, let it grow until you see no more new hairs showing up. If you have new hairs growing, you have new calyxes also, and those calyxes have yet to swell with THC and become FAT!

thanks man for responding .. do you know any tips on when to harvest i dont have a microscope any ideas on when to tell when the plant has fully matured?

There are lots of diferent opinions about harvesting.

As for myself, i never relied on microscopes to harvest. If you don't need a microscope to harvest a tomato or a banana, you dont need a microscope to harvest weed.

I advice you to use your sensitivity, to develop it. When the plant is ready to harvest it smells like ready, it have an earthy aroma, unlike the grass aroma from imature bud.

The leaves start to die off/yellow.

The bug gains a golden tinge, the calyxes swell, the color most often changes and the hairs all die.

Here is the most awesome thread on harvesting I ever came across: https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/210501-zeuss-take-harvesting.html

Also check FDDs thread on Harvesting and Curing forums, the sticky tutorial on harvesting and curing. he has tips on harvesting, incl. pictures.

Of course there are people who will tell you to buy a scope etc, its a matter of personal take.

I myself follow the "instinctive" school... you dont need to be all scientific when you are growing weed, I dont care for the colours shown under a microscope - we have the natural hability to know how to grow and when to harvest stuff, after all, humanity is planting stuff since 20,000 years ago, you know? :-)

I like Argentina very much, BTW.
