Im getting ready to flower and i have heard a few people say that black lights are good and a few say red. Anyone know if either of these are correct?

HPS light....red spectrum.......2100k.....NO BLACK LIGHTS EVER! Or so I have read.....I haven't had a harvest yet...so listen to others over me...but I do read ALOT.

CFL's will work to produce proper spectrum energy, so I have read. They are 2700k to HPS' 2100K , and the red is slightly less (so I have read...again I am only regurgitating other's words). Red spectrum doesn't mean a red colored light. It has to do with the spectrum of light energy.

No,it will not work, everything you've ever heard about black lights, party lights & any other passed along information is most likely false.

Read the grow faq on the home page of this site, read every folder all the way through, growing kick ass buds is pretty simple if you invest the time in learning how & are willing to invest some money in proper grow equipment.

There are 2 types of tried & true lighting systems that are used to grow plants indoors, one is Metal Halide & the other is High Pressure Sodium, starting out with anything else i would not reccomend for best results.
