Flowering light setup - opinions ?

Hello again, as you guys know I used this setup for about 3 weeks in the flowering stage :

The result was this after 3 weeks :

You guys told me that I will not get any good ( HERE ) buds with that light so I managed to switch to this today :

What do you think ? Is this better for the flowering stage ?

Yes, from my understanding, when using CFL's: 2700K is best for flowering and 6500K is best for vegging so you are on the right track. Also, if I may drop my two cents on you, I would go to the hardware store and get a a Y-splitter for your light sockets, so that you could have Two 27K CFL's on each socket in stead of just one. These Y-splitters are like $1 to 2.50 a piece and can be found at most Lowe's or Home Depots.

Tried to get a Y-splitter from 6 stores in 3 different cities and no one has a Y-splitter. Hard to find in my country and if I get it from Amazon, the total cost + shipment = 20$ + ... Thank you for your opinion ! I hope others will reply too

The plant looks great. I still use nutes in flowering, every other watering. For the veg cycle, all I use are cfls. For flowering, HPS mini sunburst 150 W ( a broad spectrum of K numbers). The mini sunburst keep that space warm, not a problem in this winter. Time takes time, the plant will let you know when to harvest. The trichomes start turning amber. The Y splitters work great, I recommend them.

) I found it in the house and added it there, I don't know if it is a good idea but I think it helps the color spectrum

Does the flourescent bulb you're asking about have any information on it? It may have the ####K listed or at least a serial number that you could look up on a search engine to find out the spectrum... try that... I'm assuming it's a high color spectrum since it is a blue light but that may be an incorrect assumption. Either way, I don't see it doing any harm so...

may i ask...what is that red guard surrounding your fan there?Is it to defuse the air to make it a bit quieter?or just to protect your plants from getting chopped up?

Your plant's flowers look ok to me at best. However I think you could easily double the CFL light. A plant that size could have double the flowering! When I used CFL to flower I used around 300 watts of CFL to flower one girl.. You have less than 100 watts. I suggest you get some bigger CFL's over tops (I like 105 actual watt bulbs over tops). Nope ... no info about the K and no serial code ... but anyway I think it will do good

Its just for protection and to spread the air around more

Yea ... she stopped growing 3 weeks ago when she developed the top bud ... now only the buds are growing. I'll keep that in mind for my next grow
