Flowering light cycle for more yield. ?

Hey I'm about to try an experiment that has been theorized to create a larger yield.
I kinda hoping someone else has tried it?

well it's
18/6 Veg. and UP
17/7 Flower in 2 1/2 months
16/8 Flower in 1 1/2 Month
15/9 Flower in 4 Weeks
14/10 Flower in 3 Weeks
13/11 Flower in 2 Weeks
12/12 Flower 1 Week

Technically the more light the more bud, and this flowering cycle should work right?

Sure if you're growing an auto, otherwise a plant doesn't start the flowering cycle until it receives 12 or less hours of daylight outside or 12/12 inside as we can control our environment

But in our natural environment they never go from 18/6 to 12/12.

Eventually the night gets to be long enough that the plant starts to flower. Until that point the plant is vegging and you might as well be running your lights 18+ hours a day. I guess I you could try to gradually lengthen the night by 15 minutes a week and watch for signs of flower. If you don't mind flowering taking longer you can use a longer day with a 12 hour night. Running a 7 day timer with 5 21hr 36min days and 5 12 hour nights in 7 days increases the amount of light your plants get by 80% over a flowering cycle while lengthening the cycle by 40% in theory. I have a friend running it who reports that the increase in flowering time isn't the full 40% but that you do see a corresponding yield increase.

In our natural day night cycle the typical day at the end of October is about 10 hours daylight and 14 hours darkness and in the beginning of September there are about 13 hours of daylight and 11 hours of darkness, typically when flowering starts for most types of plants. Most people do 12/12 because it is a definite. Flowering won't start until the critical light period is reached for that species of plant you are growing.
