I must have poorly positioned the seed in the sponge, and so when the plant started growing its own weight was too much for the sponge to hold and the plant slipped through the bottom. Yes, forgot to mention the addition of an airstone. Nothing too large.
I always adjust the reservoir water's pH to ~6.0 before adding nutes. I also change the reservoir water every 2 weeks when starting off, and once a week while flowering.
