Flower wk 3: I need to extend dark cycle by 1.5hrs for one night, big deal or no?

It takes a long time to reverse flowering back to veg and vice versa... People tend to baby their plants. I abuse mine and it always works out.Try singing off key.. It makes them angry and they seat more terpines
Good to know thanks. Yeah I've been babying them since it's my first grow but they are quite resilient plants... even the clones that I took where I accidently pulled the stem of one off of it's roots - it just re-rooted again and carried on. Once a beginner gets the hang of the basics it's much more of a hands off process.

Really? From what I've observed from all the postings here and including my own behavior..... it seems we cant help it to be obsessive with our plants.
I think this is the only endeavor that we have to check it like 20 times a day?

Yea, it's such an addiction.. That's why i like the veg and early flower time.. I check constantly.. When i get home from work even if I have to piss so bad I still make a B line for my tent to see how the girls are doingReally? The power here went out a total of three times during the last 4 months. When I first started the grow. The light came on at 5 a.m.. Now the light comes on at 1:00p.m.
The last power outage lasted about 8 hours. I shaved three hours off the timer when it came back on. Humidity was over 70%. The whole house stank like a skunk murder. The plants got a really long night....for the third time.
No biggy. As long as they don't get more then 12 hours light. I didn't experience any herms or ill effects.

I try to beat traffic everyday just to have an hr or 2 just to see the plants before lights off

Oh yeah don't get me wrong I check on them every few hours. It is a bit addictive for sure. I work from home so that makes things easier but when I first started I was constantly checking.. a bit too obsessively so I've learned to relax just a bit more. Like SouthCross we also had a few power outages when my plants were in early veg, they pulled through fine but it can really mess things up.

Can't wait for the harvest!The tall one is a lot fussier than the short one. I'll up the nitrogen a bit for the next feeding and see, thanks. I did under feed them when they were seedlings so I think that the very bottom leaves have been yellowish for the most part since then. After that I gradually fed them more up to the point where just the very tips got burnt... although the upper leaves are darker now the tall one never got as dark green as the short one so I haven't been sure with this one. Also, the very tips of the leaves have this sharp 90° hook downward that you can see one the right side in the photo which I haven't been able to get a conclusive answer on. Nitrogen, soil compaction, don't think it's over-watering, cold intake air, less light on that side, add ideas lol?
[Strain: Heavyweight Fruit Punch / 8 week veg / 3 weeks into flower / topped once / super-cropped / LSTed]

I wouldnt worry bout it, unless all your leaves are like that. There's a lot of variables that could cause that to the leaves; toxicity, deficiency due to lockout, temperature, etc. Some strain are just sensitive to sudden changes, even among same strain, a plant may develop some symptom while the rest doesnt. Just keep an eye on your flower development and the 'overall' growth of your grow.

Obsession? Why? many will "over love" them to some damn problem or another when they do.
The short one is slightly over fed with N = Dark and glossy leaves say so....I don't see down turned tips on it. That tells me that the plant likes the higher N. I don't know the strain's needs as I haven't run it......I would be inclined to stay the course with it....Maybe try less next time, just a bit though.
As for the tall plant. If that yellow has not increased or moved up the plant farther.....I would kinda be on the fence about increasing N. If I did (and not knowing the strain). I would most likely only raise it 1/2 % or 1/2 an NPK point. It's better to have to rise to the right level, then to remove some......I most certainly would not go more then 1 whole % higher (another NPK point)....
Any change in a plant in soil, from feeding. Will take 5-7 days to show and that will be in the new growth. Not in the existing leaves.
Only N to low N conditions will show "recovery". In the case of your plant. The "yellowing" in the lower leaves.....will not show any recovery! The extra N will be going to the active mains on every branch......it's not vegging anymore.

It just changes over time, once ur settled in, not an old ace but truly just settled in, the learning and adding techniques or trying new things is there to obsess over when one chooses, not because we have to out of fear of failure. So its a less stressful obsession, If that makes sense...

It does make sense, in a way the outcome becomes predictable. But a plant may surprise you now and then, good or bad, either bringing you a sense of accomplishment or end up scratching your head.

My brother in law tried doing that I'm the late 90s, exact same situation as you. Sadly, he died shortly after his plants did.
