Flower time

I've been posting some over in the outdoor grow forum, in the New England thread. This is my first year growing. Started OG Kush and LA Confidential from regular seeds. From what I have read, they should veg until the light cycle gets to 12/12, then they flower. I have been worried about this, as that would be late September for me. Some prominent members here are saying that flowers for some strains start sooner? That would be awesome. Sounds like the strain of weed has a lot to do with it. Just wondering what others in New England are seeing for flowering start dates on average.

They should be starting the stretch already or very soon. By middle of Aug you will already be seeing the buds starting to stack and thicken. Finish time will depend on the pheno and strain.

12/12 does not apply to outdoor growing. Generally July and aug. Is when plants in the states start to bud.

Right on GG, I think the LA Confidential is well ahead of the OG Kush. This summer has been crazy hot in VT, with July on track to smash the average high temp for the month. Also very dry, hoping the dry part carries through to harvest. Will post pics when I see flowers.

Totally fascinated by your grow by the way. Amazing what your girls are doing in straight cow poop!

Different phenos and strains will start and finish at different times.
Many are growing some that will be finished by the end of aug.

Lol and thanks for the compliment. Had someone tell me recently that they used manure this yr and hasn't seen growth like that in over 16 yrs.
I wish more outdoor growers would try it ;)

There is a chicken farm near me, I might try using some next year. Would love to get away from store bought soil and nutes.

All manures are different and some run much hotter then others.
Always make sure the manure is well aged (at least two yrs)
And if you go with steer or horse ever, make sure the pile it comes from is out in the elements and not enclosed. Salt build is a real issue but as long as the pile is very aged and has been outdoors for the rain and snow to get to Screenshot_2018-05-23-10-34-45.png it then all the salt will be gone.
