Flower question

Hey guys!

Was wondering if you could check out my first attempt. Currently on 18 6 and was on 24 hrs for about 3.5 weeks. I was wondering if anyone can tell anything about the sexes of these and when should i start to go into 12/12. Is there a specific time besides nodes/height? Or any other recommendations would be great, or any info at all. Thanks!

My friend and I are just trying to get a little. We're just testing things out so we realize its not going to be amazing. We just didn't want to do anything else before showing pics and seeing what people recommend.

also, i am planning on getting another 4' shop light for more light. is it best to have 2 cool whites and 2 warms or should i just use 4 warms for flowering?

Welcome to RIU and good luck with your grow.

Way too early to tell sex. I would let them get 5-6 nodes before you go 12/12

You can go 12/12 at any point. Your plants are past the seedling phase now. 12/12 and you'll know the sex in 7 - 14 days

thanks... so do you think 2 cool and 2 warm bulbs for flowering or 4 warm?
and also how much larger would you let them get? Because I don't know how big of plants two shoplights will be able to provide; I'd rather have them smaller and higher quality than larger but not as strong/good. Thanks again!

Dont think of the lights in term of cool and warm or soft. What you need to pay attention to is the lumen output. If you are growing with cfl bulbs, you need 6500k daylight for veg and 2700k for flowering. Home depot sells an HPS security lamp cheap and you can convert it to a grow light like I did. It works great and was cheap. The only differance between the security and grow light is the way it is encased. Hope that helped.
